Veterinary Educator Teaching and Scholarship

The goal of the VETS program is to draw on the expertise of the entire consortium to enhance teaching practices and thereby support student learning.

VETS Program Objectives:

  • Provide training in educational concepts and effective teaching skills for both the clinical and didactic settings.
  • Develop educators’ identities and ability to consider how their own perspectives impact their teaching and learning.
  • Showcase the implementation and application of diverse methods of instruction.
  • Provide a space for productive conversations and feedback on enhancing teaching and learning.
  • Foster communities of practice around ongoing professional development.

    • Workshops focused on strategies and practices for teaching in laboratory clinical spaces.
